Well, an old Stude friend, recently deceased, first took me to this place. They do GOOD work (I rejected my Avanti bumper and he totally redid it.) BUT you may need to keep on them if you have a timeline. Get "acceptance" receipts for your items, mention Curt (above) who gave him some goodies, and Dennis (me) as people who recommended him and it will turn out fine. Be firm if you have deadlines.

          Chrome Plating

I've used Art Brass in Seattle with good results. Maybe not the cheapest. Probably not too busy right now, but as we get closer to summer business picks up.

I've used Art Brass in Seattle, also. They did a great job for a '52 HT that I was working on for a buddy. It wasn't cheap (those days are long gone) but they did a nice job on the pot metal and bumpers.

ddub, Sorry, I don't. Discussed it with him, as I have a set of '51 fender spears (GIVEN to me) that I will eventually need done. He assured me they could do it, and do it right. I'd suggest calling him. He's a straight up sort of person.

We do expert die cast repair & plating here in Houston at competitive prices with excellent results. The process typically takes about a month, depending on the shop's work load. Prices are going up on this work as they are on most things due to the weakening dollar, and it is wise to get any pieces you have plated now. As the dollar slides off into oblivion, plating materials which are imported will continue to jump in price, raising plating costs even more.
