Great looking project. Would be nice to see the engine bay, as it may have been modified for a Chevy V8 installation, not that it really matters. Good luck!

There is one picture of the engine bay with no engine. If you look at the other pictures the front sits high also indicating no engine.

I saw that too John and it doesn't look bad for the price. I beleive he's wrong about it having a 50 front end on a 48 body. Based on the dash and taillights It appears to be a 1950 Commander throughout. I parted one of these out many years ago.

Drop in a big six and tranny and your good to go.

I've been drooling over this car for 5 years since I first saw it listed on Craigslist in Missouri near Springfield. If I had the spare time and funds to devote to it I'd be all over it. My dream car!

We have about four convertible top frames for that up here, no problem. Decent deal.

It is a 1950 Commander. But is it a real convertible? It would be nice to have the serial plate number and firewall tag info. I have extra parts for this guy.

Those are some kind of Generic mats with a Custom ordered "Studebaker" logo.
If they were Studebaker Mats, they would have a Studebaker Symbol (S) not a generic Crest.
