Cable for my "60 Lark"

While assembly of the Lark is going better, I have ran into a small snag The speedometer cable that I got with the car does not fit???? It will hook up to the head OK, but will not even go into the hole on the transmission (it is an automatic)...I see there is cables available at Studebaker Int'l , but how do I know they will fit?? The one I have is brand new, but not necessarily for this car??? Has anybody out there have a similar problem, I could use some help... Thanking anybody in advance..Keith

Do you know that this Transmission is the correct Studebaker/Borg Warner "Flight-O-Matic"?

If someone has modified the Car by replacing the Trans. the CORRECT cable for a '60 Lark VI (6) or VIII (8) will not fit.

Alan, I don't have pictuer of the actual tranmission. Just the shifter inside the car. Will go get better pic. soon... Thanks for intrest...Keith

You know, being totally new to studebaker I have no idea. I am going to go get a better look to see if I can make these differences. The hole in the trans is smaller, that I know for sure. Keith
