First it's the M2 trucks, now these. Can this year get any better as far as toy stude trucks?!

Just what we need. NASCAR Champ trucks.

That was the first thing I noticed on a Johnny Lightning that I picked up last week. It looks good that way.

Actually, I think this would be cool in 1:1 with an R2 and 5 spd. Bish

Which were you looking for, Neil?
                  I bought extras.
They were for raffle prizes at our Los Angeles Winter Meet next month, but whether we put out 9 or 12 in the raffle won't matter.
I get the Hot Wheels Avantis at the Mattel Store in El Segundo CA.
I got the M2's at Target, but I bought them all.
And yesterday I found a bunch of Hot Wheels modified bullet noses at, of all places, Pep Boys.
Very few Target stores (at least where I live) carry the M2. Some Toys R Us do, but not all.

I have no clue how stores decide what to carry.
There probably isn't as much market for adult collectibles in toy stores as we adults would like, which is why the stores are over run with Ferraris and Camaros, and Mustangs, and Rolls Royce toy cars, and especially modified race car style toys, rather than classic cars.

I'd like to see somebody make a model of a "p" body style champ. (No "Dodge" bed)

Nice of them to make the box match the body. Now to find something to use as a rear roof and a decklid...presto, instant custom '59 Lark model...

Just imagine how much work it took to take the body off the frame cut out three scale inches out of the middle of the bed, weld it together and then take the same out of the tail gate and put it all back together again. Looks like JL and Hot Wheels did a good job.

I had a few minutes yesterday and made a few modifications on one of the new Hot Wheels Champ pick ups.

That reminds me of Chris Eastburn's truck:
