  • SDC "Notable dignitary" sells 61 Lark Wagon at Carlisle

In the latest Sports Car Market's coverage of the sale at Carlisle it makes the following comment on a white 1961 Lark VII wagon, S/N 61V3575 that sold for $16,800.

"An alluring car with good history, this Lark wagon was reportedly owned by a notable dignitary in the Studebaker club....."

Gee, I wasn't aware there were any dignitaries in the club.
CASOs sure, but dignitaries? And notable ones at that.

I believe that this is the same car that was restored by a club member in Minnesota. It had been for sale in Alabama for the past few years.

Perhaps they meant indignant-ary since it was only built with 7 cylinders?

Pretty NICE! It's had a Custom conversion done to change the look of the front end to a Regal, by ordering the DUAL Hd. Light option or adding it, along with the added Regal Grille Surround Moulding.
