GT Hawk Finally Arrived

SDC fans, my 63 GT Hawk finally arrived from Las Vegas to my driveway in Ft. Lauderdale. It only took the Transporter Co. 6 weeks. I guess I was not high enough on their importance list. Anyway, it's a killer. The neighbors all came out to overview and they went zonkers. Thanks to Richard, the Pres of the SDC Las Vegas Chapter, for selling me his baby. I will take care, to no ends. Now my 78 Avanti II has an older Bro to hang out with and the Chinook can guard it too.

It looks like a nice car. I only notice one "unusual" item on each end of the car <G>. It is certainly nice to receive something that is at least as good as described. I have had experiences in both directions. Good luck and much enjoyment with your new toy.

It looks like a nice car. I only notice one "unusual" item on each end of the car <G>. It is certainly nice to receive something that is at least as good as described. I have had experiences in both directions. Good luck and much enjoyment with your new toy.

Also, the "backporch ( Custom Cont kit ). will be coming off next month. It's bolted on and should remove easy - I hope.I'll keep the spare with its wire wheel hup in the trunk. It goes into the garage for anyone in the SDC who wants it and can pick it up in my Ft. Lauderdale area. Too gawky looking for me.[8D]

I wonder what possessed him to drill holes in the nice hood and install the early Hawk scoop. Still a stunning car, even with the two add on's.

He needs to paint the area behind the grill black too, a pet peeve for many of us is to have body color showing through. It might take a entire day to make it a perfect car.
