Checked the '63 this morning. 9 degrees outside. She's snug in her RV at 68. The '66 Avanti II is in the attached garage. The Lincoln and F350 sit in the driveway covered in frost and snow. Stude parts and my son's motorcycle occupy the other garage bay.

      RV for Avanti

You have a Race Car/Camper Trailer (RV) that the Avanti fits in? That's cool!

Well, it's an RV for the Avanti without much room for anything else. It does have roof air and heat and finished out inside. We usually stay in the hotel. Maybe we can upgrade to one with living quarters for us in front for next year. The Salt to Salt guys used this one for Bonneville this year. They were concerned that the door handle release button had to be pushed to clear the doorway. Like I said, not much room for anything else. Illinois does let me use RV plates on it because it is set up for bunks when the car out. The nicest thing about it turned out to be with air circulating all the time, the air filter cleans up all the dust, so the car doesn't need cleaned when we take it out.

Maybe in say 40 some years the Vette will deserve a garage, maybe!

I've lived in snowy and cold South Dakota my whole life. Been married for almost 21 years, had 4 homes with garages and lived at this place for over 15. In that time, this is usually what the garages look like. Our daily drivers sit out Winter and Summer and the closest thing to a garage my wife gets is a remote starter.

The sad part is, I've got a storage garage out back that's just as full of rusty "treasures". I guess to be a "real Studebaker lover", one needs a "real understanding wife".

It looks like with a little work they could both fit inside.

Eggzactly right. With some re-arranging of my 10,000+ junk and collectible items I could fit 'em both in the garage. But then I'd probably be tempted to give the 2nd spot to my '66 Commander... :-)

Hey ! If I evicted the motorcycle and rearranged the parts, I could bring the Hawk home !!

Seriously, when the F350 or the Lincoln is 47 years old will they even be around? Priorities. The Avanti's have earned the sopt of honor.
