  • Dyno fun

After a few teething problems, got the R3 dyno tuned and ready for fun.
Had an R1 carb which after rejetted, managed a respectable 370 hp.
Decided on a new Edelbrock AVS, on which I modified the floats to acept boost.
Did one pull normally aspirated and found the baseline.....one step richer needed on primarys.
    Ready for blower pressure now.
    Drum roll please....................
    394.8 hp @ 5600 rpm
    396.2 ft lbs @ 4600 rpm
    93 octane PUMP GAS !!!

I bet 400 is lurking around the corner with racing fuel and timing adjustments.

I know your teething problems were bugging you...
Glad to see you are on the right path!
(Post this over on Sonny's site, too..OK?)

Nimesh the "Majic Dentist" got it straightened out. He went beyond the call of duty to repair a valve issue on his own time and nickle. Can't say enough good about him and his work ethic.

CONGRATULATIONS, I like the "on pump gas" part the best, with Nimesh helping, 400HP should be easy

Excellent. What is it going to power...or what is it already powering? BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

It is going into Avanti R-5590 That I'm restoring. A true B series block R3 installed in this car very early in it's life.

I'd love to see the pull with rpm/O2/boost/torque graphed. Could be a good baseline for the AFB vs AVS.
