    pretty hard to accept info as true when you see who is listed as original owner.

      The Caribbean convertible has always been one of my favorite cars, but that doesn't mean I want to own one. Hope someone scarfs up a nice looking car.

            I wrote to the seller. He replied that the Packard was previously owned by the guy that played Charlie Chan on TV.

                This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode wherein George buys "Jon Voight's car." It turned out to be Jon Voight...the dentist.

                  Both Oland and Toler were dead before the car was built.
                  J. Carrol Naish seems to be the original owner according to another website.
                  He played Charlie Chan in the TV series "The New Adventures of Charlie Chan" 1956-57
                  He's more famous for acting in movies though and J. Carrol Naish has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
