  • Abbie-Normal Engine Mount Bracket

This truck I have (M15A-20) has a bracket attached to a head bolt on one end and to the frame on the other end (drivers side). The frame end has a jag to it, presumably to give it some "give". So, is this a normal bracket? It does not appear in any manual I have but does appear professionally made. I thought that this bracket was added because of a bad motor mount but they look OK. I did replace the rear motor mount because it was bad and supplemented by some bailing wire and a 2x4.

What Alan said. That"s somebody's home made rig. Unless your're hauling a bed load of anvils, that can go away. Used to own an M15A-120 pickup. Neat piece, wished I'd never sold it. Don't see many of them. Hope this helps.
