When I park my 49 Studebaker in overdrive particulary on an uphill incline the transmission seems to lock. To release the car I have jack up the back wheels. Sometimes I can go under the car and try to move the transmission linkage and that will work. The transmission seems to lock between gears. If I keep the car out of overdrive no problem.
