I tried, but ???? This is what he thinks.

I'm pretty sure the 50 Champion hoods and fenders are the same as 51. Just the grille surround is different. I know the headlight bezels are different between 50 Champion and Commander. What about the headlight bezels in 51? Are 51 headlight bezels the same as 50 Champion? I think I'll buy that 51 Commander hood on ebay. The guy says it measures 48.5 inches. Same as 50 Champion ones I've measured.

So you FINALLY bought a parts book of your own???

Keep in mind that some part numbers DO work even if the book says otherwise~
something as simple as holes for trim or emblems change a part number~
but both will work.
Case in point-- '57 front fenders- No holes = different part number then one with.
And unless you have one of each- you'd never even know.

It's called a "PRIVATE" message for a reason...

The 50 and 51 fenders are the same on the out side but the inner fenders are different.
