Under the hood view from my '53 Commander Starliner- don't know how much it helps.

The best way to get the "...as per original" info you seek is by ordering a copy of "AC-2342 Climatizer - dual Powered C+K" through here: http://www.studebakerdriversclub.com...rtemplates.htm

      Good Luck!!!

Routing, start at the outlet on the upper front (pass side) of the water manifold, run a hose to the heater control on the firewall, from there to the underseat heater. From there to the lower return line on the water manifold. Stock configuration has the defrost hose (3/8") taking off after the temp control, I routed mine off before the temp control. This gives full heat to the defroster all the time, rather than tempered water. Return from the defroster goes to the return line to the manifold.

Be sure that none of the hoses touch the exhaust manifold or the exhaust pipe.
