  • Built by Stan Johnson?

Just cruising eBay and saw this crazy custom. Part of the description reads:

    Studebaker Hawk.

Never heard of him, but that is a pretty wacky custom! And that is a good thing, I LOVE it! Would I build it? Nope, too much into '50s style customs....

That's what I was thinking! Just wondered if anyone had heard of him.

Wonder if that front roll center could even be measured?

If he's got ONE thing wrong, does that make it ALL wrong?

"...Corvair Spider engine with 4 carbs..."

It wasn't a "Spider" it was a "Spyder" and Spyders didn't have 4-carbs they had a turbo. Corsa had 4 carbs. Minor stuff but it does show a lack of knowledge concerning SOMEthing.

The first thought that came to me was what would happen to that roof when at speed air coming off the top of the windshield & having no where to go putting alot of stress, not to mention buffeting right in the drivers face! The ugly factor came in right after that!

google his name and Studebaker, he's a club member that has restored a few cars, but nothing to do with the company as far as I know .
