  • Additional Electronic Fuel Pump

Assuming an R-1 engine has it's oem Carter fuel pump.

How would I install a secondary electronic fuel pump to be utilized only to fill the carb bowls after car has been sitting in storage?

None of mine are R1 so I don't know if that Carter pump would have peculiar issues. I mounted electric pump near rear axle and powered through a momentary switch under the dash.

Nothing special about plumbing electric pump. Hose from tank in, hose to fuel line out. Make sure pump you purchase is of the type that allows fuel to be drawn through by R-1 pump when shut off. If your car has 3/8ths fuel line make sure pump will accept 3/8ths fitings, some only accept up to 5/16ths.
