Bob: Is that the Wagonaire from which you are removing parts at the junkyard before the balance is crushed?
If so, why not just take the whole tailgate off (torch the hinges if need be) and take it home where it is warm and toasty?
Then, chop a hole in the gate (assuming the gate is no good) to extract the motor and glass. BPWe've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

If you have a battery jumper box how about using it to power the window. Usually if a power window circuit has 3 wires, one is a ground while the other 2 operate either the up or down movement. If it has only 2 wires, then put one to the ground of the jumper & the other to the "hot" - reversing the wires will reverse the direction of the motor, so it would depend on the hookup. If my memory is correct Studbaker used the 3 wire connection. This can be verified on a wiring diagram which I have but its on a cd & my cd drive is dead in the water otherwise I would be more sure with what I say. Hope this helps.59 Lark wagon, now V-8, H.D. auto!

The way I have done it is to take the plates off on the inside of the tailgate (part that faces the inside of the car), then you will see the bottom of the glass channels. reach to the outerside of the bottom of the window and pull the arm pins out of the channels. Then the window just lifts right out. You could then take the sissors lift out and the power motor. But this is just the old manual way of doing it.

I'kk follow Bullets advice.Yes it's the junkyard Wagonaire.I have removed everything else I felt worthy to save and the motor is the last piece to get.I could just break the glass but will attempt the pin removal. One pin is snapped off already.Mono mind in a stereo world
