It is a 49 as that was the first year for wrap around bumpers which this one has.

Yeah...that's great...as if these model cars didn't have enough doo-dads to bust your hands and snag your wash cloth already! Why don't we nail on a couple of bird houses and throw in a kitchen sink too!

As similar as these cars were from '47 to '49 who's to say after 61 to 63 years what parts are original or cobbled on later. A close examination of data tags would probably be the only way even though it says it is titled as a '47.

Hey Dag! Good to hear from a Norway Stude fan! Here in the deep south today (South Carolina) it has struggled to reach 40 F. That would probably be considered a heat wave where you are. How are you coming with your '49? Have you found an overdrive yet?

I noticed the one we are discussing on eBay has an overdrive. Looks like this one could be restored to a fun car with an owner having the skills and money to give it a good home.

Hey John ! That would certainly be like a heatwave, close to -4F here tonight, it's close to be the coldest november (and december so far) in more than a 100 years - normally it is more like your temp (around 30) this time of year. Although same latitude as Anchorage, Alaska - the ocean currents (Golf stream) normally keeps us a lot warmer.

No overdrive yet - so still way up on my list. Notoced the car has an OD so maybe I shold place a bid... Although it certainly will cost me a lot to get it shipped over here...

That paint is perfect on that car. I'd drive it just like it is.
