over the years the black printing, (studebaker, etc), on my frame plate has become almost illegible. is there a reproduction decal to correct this, or perhaps unstamped plates available? thanks

I have the same problem and have been searching for a decal to replace the missing print to no avail. If you find a source please post it because I'm sure we're not the only ones in this situation.

You guys should state the year that you are interested in. When you say "frame plate" I assume prewar or Avanti. The other one pictures a Hawk. If it is for that, I have recently purchased a reproduction decal for that series. A few peope make them and more sell them.

I've seen the decal for sale on Ebay in the Studebaker parts section.

Maybe we're talking about two different things. I'm referring to the vin number plate on the A piller..Driver side. I haven't seen any and a call to SI dreveled they didn't stock any.

That looks like it except the later ones had Studebaker Packard Corporation on them. Still don't know where to locate one. Earle

Like was indicated earlier Bondobilly has them for some models, check with him. They are decals that are applied to your plate I believe.

Both the early SP and later Studebaker decals are available from Bondo and maybe others.
