Hello, I am new to this forum and to Studebakers. I bought a 57 Transtar Deluxe Truck with the rear brakes disassembled. I only have drums and shoes. Where can I find all the necessary hardware (springs, clips, axle key, etc.) to put the brakes back together. A picture of the assembly would be very helpful. Thanks in advance for your help. Ron,
You'll do well to find the Studebaker Truck Forum and post your request there. Lots of help available and many members with parts. I'm a member and have had lots of help from this group. http://www.network54.com/Forum/23885/
Best of luck, Bish

Would probably be a good idea to obtain a factory Parts Catalog and Shop Manual from one of our GREAT Stude vendors. Then you could identify exactly the parts you need by number and have pictures and instructions; those parts can also be provided by many of those vendors.

Axle keys can be cheaply made from " key stock. A 1' long stock would be about $4 and make enough keys to last you the rest of your life.
