  • Studebird Update

We trailered it to Phoenix yesterday to have our son-in-law redo the interior. We are going to keep it pretty close to original gray cloth seat, gray carpet, door panels. and headliner. Car has never had a headliner as the removable roof is from a '39 Chevy truck hence the oversized trunk for storage. At last count, close to 20 vehicles had donated parts since custom work started in 1955. We will document this when we show the car for the first time here at Midnight at the Oasis show in early March.

After this work, back to Yuma to be finished up here. PB, radio install, and some other relatively minor items to be done. Interesting to note that right hand starter blank above gauges is now operational as clutch starter would not operate correctly as is. The left hand blank is now the horn button for similar reason. But, as pictures, show, you would never know looking at resto pictures of dash.

Pictures of finished car to follow.
