I'm not sure but it seems like the place to post this. I have a '52 4 door Champion and the passinger front (arount the headlight) fender is rusted through. I have cut out the cancer but I am not able to make a patch panel because of the double curve (and my lack of metal working). Does anyone have connections to where I could get a patch panel? I bought a '51 wreck and have the front end. Worse come to worse I will make it a bullet nose. I just don't know if that is what I want to do. Thanks

I have a 52 Commander parts car. It is pretty rough, so I don't know if the area around the headlight is usable or not. Plus I am very far from you. If the area around the headlight is usable, I could cut a small piece out and send it to you. Also my parts car is about 50 miles from me at a friend's house.

I will be going out in that area on Sunday, May 6 because we have a Studebaker meet near there. If you don't find anything by then, I will see if mine is any better and cut it out.

It doesn't need to be one piece of metal. I fabricated the front of both fenders for a friend's '52. The driver's side took fourteen separate pieces of sheetmetal. I think the passenger side was a few less than that.

I'm not a professional. I did a lot of measureing, cutting, fitting, cutting, fitting and had a friend at a body shop do the welding. Then I did a lot of grinding, grinding, grinding.

It just needs to be solid, not protrude beyond the original form and well sealed behind. Try to get it to the point where you wont need more than 1/4" of filler to sculpt the final form.

'52's were designed to hold dirt and moisture behind the headlight. Half decent donors wont be much better than what you've got and may be a waste of a full fender. I did a little redesigning on the inside of the fender to retard the accumulation of dirt and moisture. Should last another 54 years.

Keith, I cut out part of the fender from my 52 parts car yesterday. It has some rust holes, but I think it can be fixed. Let me know if you want it.

Looks like it's in better shape then mine. Sure would be nice to get that fixed, then brakes, and see if it will drive. The tags when I got it were dated 1968. Let me know what you want. Thanks Keith

I broke a sawzall blade while cutting it and there was some labor involved, so how about $20.00 plus shipping?
