  • Emblem Problem

I bought a NOS Emblem part #1321079 for my 1956 Parkview wagon. It is longer than the one on my wagon and the holes don't match up. Did get the wrong ones. Good thing I found this before I started painting.

Boy oh boy-- where to start How about with the short version.

Studebaker built Parkview wagons in 1956 and 1957.
Believe it or not- the nameplates ARE different between the two cars.

The 1956 Parkview's nameplate goes on the tailgate.
      That part number is 1314767w.

In 1957 the nameplate goes on the front fender~
where the word "Commander" goes on a '56.

The part number you've posted is for a 1957 Parkview.

(I am looking for more, if anyone has them, BTW)

        I forgot to mention...

I have a picture of the '57 version here~ but posting it seems to be an issue...

The two are different in the way the font continues off of the 'w' at the end.
In '56 it came off the bottom, and in '57 it continues off the top.

        Also~
I 'think' I might have a '56 here somewhere I might be able to trade ya, BTW

            Ooops-- I've got that backwards-
the '56 comes off the top, and the '57 comes off the bottom. Sorry.

I'd have to find out if I have the one I 'think' I have for your '56 first!!!
Look for a PM when/if I do. How big of a hurry are you in?

                              Parkview nameplate.

This was an very old thread but I have the same problem in reverse.
                              I need a 1321079 nameplate "Parkview" N.O.S. for the fenders on a 1957 wagon
I have a 1314767 to trade or any other "Broadmoor" ,"Pinehurst" "Pelham"
                              "Golden" "Commander" "Wagonair" "Cruiser" nameplate.
