  • Hawk wheel measurments

Has anyone every done a wheel measurment for a 59 thur 1961 hawk. These measurments are outlined in any wheel book, It includes the with of the drum, height of the wheel and how much back space there is on the front and back of the tire to fender area? My fenders are off and I just can't get the right demintions.Anyone with custom wheels would have to have this done before their purchase.

This has been touched on over and over in the past year, but I think
that the dimensions you are asking for is not backspacing, but the
distance from the tire to the fender? Obviously this depends on the
tire/wheel package you want. The best thing is to wait until your
fenders are back on and check with your local LARGE rim seller to get
this neat tool thats out there. It takes the place of the rim/tire
and allows you to "try" different wheel backspacing, tire size and rim
size without unbolting and rebolting it on. Its been mentioned in a
few car rags recently and there are a cheap and an expensive version.
Both do the same work. - Tom
