Pretty sad, and beyond saving, but would be a great donor for a solid Speedster resto. That grille assembly looks pretty nice:

Well, that doesn't look any worse than my '53 was when I started on it. But, definately not for the timid! Probably will get parted out though since the ratio of what is still good on the car vs what needs to be replaced is likely <50%....

The car's owner already started a topic/thread on this car. 55 Speedster

Purchased in 1965, I wonder what kind of shape it was in when it was parked. Truly a case of "you don't know what you got till it is gone".

Sadly, I'll bet the frame and floors are shot; it's been sitting on the ground so long it might pull apart trying to move it BTDT. As many of you know, I'm big on saving cars, but I think this one is beyond even my wishes.

If you're talking about me, I'M NOT THE CARS OWNER!
I saw it on E BAY and posted it.
If I broke some kind of written or unwritten rule I'm sorry.
I haven't posted a lot so I'm not up on all the etiquette.
            Again, I'm Sorry.
And I'm not the cars owner.

I'm sorry for yelling. Probably another gaff.
But I see people doing what I did for cars on both Ebay and Craigslist quite often.
I just thought it was ok to put it out there.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The only 'rule' I can see that may have been broken here is that duplicate posts were made. I'm not gonna look to see which one was first.

If yours was first- you're not to blame.
If yours wasn't- I still woudn't worry too much-

No, not at all! Sharing info on stuff we happen upon is a big part of what goes on here, and it's appreciated. Gary was just adding the info (and mistook you for the owner) no problem whatsoever. Thanks for sharing it!

Ow, that hurts to look at...especially as it's so complete. Strangely photogenic in that condition though.

I am sorry for misinterpreting and assuming that you were the cars owner.

You posted about this car before Bob A. posted about it. I was simply pointing out to Bob A. that there was already a topic/thread on this car. It often gets confusing when there is more than one topic on the same item.

You didn't break any rules - written or unwritten.

Well, I will keep an eye on this one. Not too far for me to go to fetch it.

That car is only about 10 miles from me. I had heard about it but didn't even want to see about it, I have enough projects. It appears pretty much as I had heard. When I was told of it they said the owner was still hoping to get a round tuit. Seems like those tuits are pretty rare.

Looks like it was an L.A.-assembled Speedster with the President script on the rear quarter panel.
