Actually Steve, I'm thinkin' more like a "gasser". It sure is a big start on a nice drag car, (although I would lose that rear bumper...). In fact, by the lettering on the door and the flanks, I'd say that there's a good possibility that it has already seen action...

By any chance, does anybody know what he wanted for the thing and/or how to contact him?

I think Sonny is right. This looks like an old gasser that somebody has found. That rear bumper may be there for more rear end weight and therefore more traction. Now this would be a real cool deal with an R3 type engine in it.
