My wife and I attended the 2010 Lake Mirror Classic in downtown Lakeland, Florida this past weekend. 640 registered cars for the show, about 100 of this in the Concours judged portion. Only two Studebakers noted in attendance. First a beautiful 1946 Studebaker M-5 Pick-up owned by Jim Freed Jr. of Palmetto, Florida and a 1963 Avanti with several non-stock upgrades.

That's as nice an M as I've seen (and there are some nice ones around here too). I can never see an M without thinking "hmm, I'd like an M"...
Interesting '50. That's probably not a terrible price if the soft trim is the only thing that's rough...Is this a Champion or a Commander? At first look I thought it had the long Commander nose, but now I'm less sure.
Any pix of the modified Avanti?
