Yesterday, as I was attempting to get the '60 V8 lark out of the barn, the passenger side front brake was seized up. I had to use my wheel puller to get it off. Once it was off, I discovered that the brake shoe material had separated from the metal shoe. It literally fell off.
I have a local independent "FLAPS" parts store that has been very reliable and patient with me over the years when it comes to Studebaker parts. After a little rambling in the back of the warehouse today, they came up with cylinder rebuild kits, master cylinder kit, and a set of rear brake shoes. However, they couldn't come up with front shoes. Even after a couple of phone calls, they couldn't locate any. They said that if I brought my old shoes in, they might be able to "match them up."
I thought I would throw this out to see if any of you knew of a "cross-reference" before I go back.
