  • My Birthday ride. Pictures

On Sunday past, I drove my 53 after two years workin'. No lights, no tag. But I did have brakes
and I drove about twelve miles. An ole man shouldn't get this excited.

Here I am backing out of the shop. I cleaned it later in the day. (the shop)

    Forward gears worked too.

Headin' toward the two lane blacktop

And down the road I go on my road test. First ride in a 53 coupe in 48 years. I'm grinnin'

Happy belated birthday. Looks really good. I live in the city, so I'm not able to drive mine on any small "shakedown" cruises, except around the block or so, carefully. Should have it tagged and insured in a couple of weeks, and then some drive time.
