  • Multi-chapter gathering Northern CA. Please come!

I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds by posting this, since I'm not the one directly responsible for hosting the event, but I want to see a good turnout so I thought I'd do it to get people to come. Well, anyway here it goes.

"All Studebaker Pinic in the Park"
Come to see studes and exhange stories, and cook up some BBQ.
    April 21st, 1:00pm to 5:00pm
    Stockton's Grupe Park

Host is Avanti LTD. All Studebaker fans invited, with special invitation to the following chapters: Karel Staple, Sequoia, San Joaquin Valley, and Bakersfield.

    IMPORTANT:
Bring your own main dish, and bring side dish to share, thanks.
Also, you MUST CALL AND RSVP BY APRIL 19th (sorry, late notice)
You must Call Lou (host) to RSVP, but I won't post his number online in order to prevent it from getting snagged by telemarketers, please use the forum email system to email me and I'll send you the number.

Get online map directions by using this random address: 5800 Landview Dr., Stockton, CA 95219. The park is located across the street from this place.

With all these clubs chapters invited, it should be a good turnout and a fun time. Hope to see many there.

(Even if you don't RSVP to assure grill space and utensils, then bring you're on grill or prepared food, or eat before you come, and come anyway to enjoy the cars and people.)

    Best Regards,
    Eric West

Ahhh, the roads do freeze over in parts of NorCal.

Commute from Gilroy to SanFran starts at 6 AM for some, too.

    (But I miss it, sometime.)

Um, Karl? The above is just dripping in sarcasm. So, yeah, I think he knows that. As for rush hour in Nutsville (San Fransisco), it's almost as bad as the So. Cal. asylum, Los Angeles. Often starts around five. Heck, in Lost Brainless, there's traffic jams twenty-four seven. Just depends if you're one of the lucky stiffs Cal trans decided to bless this time.

Those are 3 examples, why I now own beach
front property in the "Zone", where we only
have 3 traffic signals (2 too many). Our
only traffic jam is about 5 cars at the same
signal, to let a cowboy and some cattle to
have the right away....and on some days a
John Deere combine traveling in the same
                direction.

Don't hit a cow with your studebaker!! Our cars may be tough and make funny piles of rumble when in an accident with new cars but cows will do considerable damage. Seems like they pop out from nowhere, especially around curves....had a friend explain his cow incident in just this manner.

Not a worry, grew up in "open range" territory
and near a reservation, where the cattle were
open range as well.....and yes they do happen
to appear, as if by magic...course the owner is
right there with a calculator, figuring out the
value lost, before the engine dies....and while
your insurance co., just laughs at you....

glen, we need to find you a replacement for Charlene. You need some driver quality Lark that you can bang along in without feeling like you're desecrating a museum display! Hell, there were rough and rutted roads back in the 60s too![:0]

                            Miscreant adrift in
                            the BerStuda Triangle

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.
