For my 62 Lark Chevy V8 conversion, I'm going to keep it as stock looking as possible. I'd like to use at least a 2" dual exhaust, and was wondering what diameter the factory dual exhaust pipes were. The only ones I'm really concerned with are the over the axle pipes and tail pipes. I searched the forum but couldn't find any posts dealing with this. I like the look of the stock pipe, so i'd like to get the same thing in a larger diameter. Thanks.

The tail pipes on my '55 v8 were 1 7/8" diameter.

Call Don Simmons, he will make you stock looking pipes in several larger than stock diameters. He likely can sell you head pipes for your Ch*vy motor as well, as they were used in 1965-66 from the factory (assuming you are using the rams horn style manifolds)
