  • 1950 9G-Q1 How many were produced?

I have a 1950 Studebaker Champion Business coupe 9G-Q1 and under that number is 1931. So what I understand, it is a 1950 Business Coupe, being a Custom and is the 1931 of 2,082 made. Is that correct?

    Thanks

Your numbers are correct according to Turning Wheels article. I don't know the trim level without looking it up.

The body number only indicates that is the 1931st body tub of that type welded up. It does not correspond exactly with the order it came down the assembly line. Bodies were welded up in a separate operation, then stored until needed. They did not necessarily come down the assembly line in numerical order. IE: You cannot say yours was the 151st from last assembled.

Q1 is the custom model for the business coupe. Mine is a custom starlight coupe.
