  • treasures show up in the most unlikely places...

I found a real treasure today. When looking for something else, I stumbled across a Carter carb that has been buried in one of my parts boxes for at least three years. It looks shiny and new. The silly thing has more vaccum ports than drunks at a free beer festival. Anyway, after getting them all plugged, I installed it in Ed and it works! Go figure! Here I've been playing musical carbs for years and this was just waiting to be discovered. I'm having a bit of an issue with Ed's pedal to bellcrank linkage, but otherwise everything is fine.

Anyone familliar with one of these? On the right side of the top body it says:

    O-2543
    Manufactured by:
    Carter
    Carburetor
    St Louis USA

On the left side it simply says: G-2318

So, can anyone tell me anything about this little gem?
