  • No Respect '57 President Classics, a '58 Packard Wagon

    Hi

First, a solid looking if overpriced '57 President Classic:

Second, currently on eBay, probably a parts car:

The Rodney Dangerfield of Studebakers: '53-'58 Sedans and Wagons!

A '58 Packard Wagon resurfaces, has been on-line for sale before:

I think that is a 1957 President Classic that I found for a friend in the 1970s. Eventually, we pulled the engine to use as a replacement for the worn out engine in another friend's 1957 pickup (that he purchased new). I don't remember what engine ended up in the President Classic. Check on the engine number before assuming that it is the original 289. The last that I heard about the car (more recently), it was in upstate NY, north of me and south of you. The owner called me up and I gave him a lot of information on it.

YES, we are. He also can't read and spell Studebaker (as well as President). I think that he knows that it is a President Classic because I told him.

you'd be two thirds of the way to having a set of waterfall blue '58s!!!
I (might) know a guy who has the third piece...

That Packard wagon may be overpriced, but if there are only 20 left, what choice do you have if you want one?
