Horn Kit For a 50 commander

Who sells them?
I need a new rubber piece that fit's under the horn button.

It just keeps coming loose and rattling on the steering wheel.

I am refering to the rubber or sponge stuff that keep the chrome bar from rattling on the wheel.

The last I checked the foam pads are NLA. We had a few left here, not sure right now if any good ones are left. Most were shrunken or collapsed, so NOS on these is NOT good. And that is all there is/was, no new ones yet. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I have, in a pinch, built those "sponges" up with black high-temp silicone and then shaved them to shape with a razor blade. But I have always (knock on wood) been able to find a NOS one at the next swap meet.

A friend of mine just replaced the "sponge" piece in his '51. He said he got his from Studebaker International.

If SI is out, my friend may have an extra new one he'd sell.

Are you talking about part #520411 ? Unless they are out, SI sells them.
