A friend just gave me a Studebaker Corp.training manual that I belive is from 1942.The cover seems to be missing but under acknowledgements it mentions the 'Office of the State Director of Vocational Education for War Production Workers,Indianapolis,Indiana,War manpower Commission,South Bend'. I'm basing the yearas '42 because there is a drawing of a 'modern car' with a date of 1942 next to it.Anyone seen one of these before?

Stude produced several booklets during and after WWII for the benefit of car and truck owners, dealers, women in the work force, returning veterans. I have a few of these; it sounds like yours could be the ABCs book shown here:
