  • Found 53-54 license plate guard

I looked high and low for this piece several years back when I had a bumper to sell, but couldn't find it. The part turned up in a cloth sack in a box with some other parts. I bought this in South Bend years ago when I had a 54 Starliner.

I think it will fit my 56 wagon. Looks just like it.

Last time I bought one, SASCO still had them; hasn't been that long ago. Are they now NLA?

Be careful The 1953-54 version looks like the stationwagon ones but the cutouts are different and they do not interchange.

What will you use for license plate/tag illumination? Most, if not all, states require it. I have used the chrome light that mounts to the top of the plate.
