  • serial number ID help

I have a friend who has three Studebaker cars and would like to know what they are from the serial numbers. I don't have any photos and I have not seen the cars I do believe from his description that two are bullet nose cars and the other may be a president. serial# G649129, G532908 and 7179928. Any help would be apprcieated. Tim

    Studebaker Identification

7179928 is a '56 President. The other two appear to be both 1950 Champions.

It is important and critical to the Value to know the body style/type, and that can only be gotten from the body tag on the passenger side of the firewall, engine side.

Or by the Car Serial number, from the Production Order available for a fee from the Studebaker National Museum: http://www.studebakermuseum.org/

As usual, I agree with studerich. I will add that all three cars were built in South Bend, IN (not Hamilton or Vernon, CA).

Mine is G524xxx, built in South Bend in November, 1949. My number is only 8000 from one of yours, so that narrows down one for you with no detective work.
