  • Jeep/Studebaker Wheel Covers

I stumbled across these on Ebay:

They strangely resemember 53 tri-star wheel covers with the centers cut out. Anyone ever seen anything like this?

They sure would work great on a 4X4 front hub, or a 3/4 Ton Truck rear, but they are only 15 inch of course.
I guess it's POSSIBLE that some 4X4 parts supplier went to Studebaker's supplier and had a small batch made.

Well look what I found with a Google search for Cutlas Tool & Mfg. Co.
According to the box the Wheel Covers came in, they were made by these people:

Probably made from the very same dies that made all of the early '53 Stude. Wheel Covers with the Tri-Star, AFTER Studebaker canceled them.

International Harvester did this on the 1964-1965 full dish hubcaps as well, with the centers cut out.

I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but when Studebaker closed and moved out of plant 3 & 4 Keiser-Jeep moved in.
