was at a auction saturday july 10, a 1950 r16a sold for $21,000, nice price for a nice truck,1961 lark hardtop for $4900, for pics go to Richard realty. com. Mac

The 2R16A truck is a 1 1/2 ton truck, not a 1 ton as advertised by the auction company. It must have been a fantastic restoration to bring that kind of money. I believe that might have set a record auction price for a large Studebaker truck.

That's exactly what I was thinking, Frank. With the exception of maybe a later Diesel, that's a lot of money for a "big truck".
