I have been using a fuel filter before the fuel pump and one after the fuel pump, before going to the carb. Just in the past few days, I can't keep gas going to the carb. The fuel pump works good and does its job, but some where I beging to lose fuel pressure going to the carb and then I stall out. I apprepricate any Ideas on what maybe happening. Thanks. :(

You say "the fuel pump works good and does its job"...have you tested the pump? At least a volume over time test?

What makes you think you are loosing fuel pressure?

Bad fuel pump
Clogged fuel filters.
Intermittent plugging of fuel pick up in tank.
Pin hole in fuel line before pump.
Sticking needle and seat in carb.
Dirty carb.

Check for a air leak on the input side. (cracked hose, etc.)

Don't forget that later cars have a section of rubber hose between the fuel tank and the hard line, which can crack. This issue can also be caused by rust or other debris in the tank clogging the end of the pickup tube (BTDT) also on some cars the line runs *under* a frame crossmember and can be crimped shut by an ill-placed jack or stand (also BTDT) finally check your oil, if it smells like fuel your fuel pump may have a cracked diaphragm, it may sort-of work but some of your fuel will go into the crankcase rather than the carb. Finally if your filter feeding the pump is clogged that will make the pump work very hard.

good luck
