  • Crossmember for GT Hawk

I need a front pillar support crossmember part number 534923 for a 63 GT Hawk. Some call it a batwing crossmember. I think they are the same on most C K frames from 55 up. Anyone have a nice used one for sale?

Shouldn't have any problem finding one. As you say, they are pretty common. Just a matter of finding one close by.

Not to Minnesota but might go to Reedsville if there is any interest for parts, so far no one has asked for any thing, Bams50 if they are so easy to come by you should buy all you can because they are a good seller, go luck finding them sold a few to guys with the 53-54 cars..Bob

I was going on the statement they were all the same from 55-up. Is that not the case? What about Larks? They look the same to me.

I have a few from GTs, but didn't realize they were hard to find. I stand corrected, thanks Bob!

I seem to remember Don Simmons having a nice one, but I don't know if he still has it or not (blasted and painted)

What would the part number be. I have an NOS cross member part number 1539102. I am not sure what it fits.

                        T-Cab,
1539102 is the shorter rear engine support for C K models. I need the longer pillar support crossmember # 534923.

I don't have a parts book so is the crossmember your after attached to the chassis or spot weld to the body?

I might be interested if he's not, I'm in Ont. PM me please, I don't have a manual for the later cars, so not sure what part this is, as i have a 53.

                            Thanks
