'63-'64 GT Hawk headlight rings/bezels....retrofit?

Do any of you know if '63 - '64 GT Hawk headlight rings /bezels can be used on '55 C/K headlight buckets w/o modification? Is the "tang" top mounting tab, which is longer starting in '56, an issue, or not an issue? I assume that the '63 - '64 rings/bezels have the long tang. Optionally, to use the later rings/bezels, do I need to acquire the later headlight buckets. Trying to accomplish the "frenched" headlight look, which I may or may not like? Do any of you have photo images of any '53 thru '55 C/K's utilizing the subject rings/bezels?
