I noticed on the local craigslist that someone has listed a school bus. The listing is in Las Cruces , N.M., if anyone is interested.

I just took a look at the Las Cruces Craigslist and do not see it listed (only 2 ads, one looking for a M-5, the other selling a 1929). If it is still up, can you post a link?

I had looked also before Jeff posted the link and found it under studAbaker. Seller didn't spell it correct to be easy to find. I was hoping it was a 57 or later one like sold in that area a couple of years ago.

What model of 2R would a bus like that be base on?

Boy, that looks like a relatively easy restore! All the side glass and metal inside and out is there. Mechanicals are easy to find. Would be pretty cool to have and drive around the Meets. Oh, John Batka.....:D

You could put a ramp in the back and have an enclosed car hauler or parts hauler.

Sorta like this~

Ebay Item number: 130397479777
1991 ford/ divco e350

A most interesting combination of bodywork to boot.
It's a 1991 Ford bus converted into a rv/toy hauler/party bus.
Dig the '57 Divco milk truck nose!!!!

2R17/2R17A which is the 2 ton chassis. The A designation indicated the 245.6 CID Commander engine versus the earlier 226 size. It looks to have a fairly long wheelbase (I know in the Transtar series you could get up to 212").
