  • Beetle to Cruiser - what a difference

I probably didn't need to even say it but after driving my 1973 VW to work everyday for a few months I revelled in the ride I got in the 66 Cruiser today - just to get gas. I have not driven it since early November. The Cruiser is not quite like riding in a Cadillac, but after driving a Beetle it's like riding on a cloud. I remember last fall I drove my GT Hawk after driving the Beetle for a while and THAT was really like riding in the lap of luxury - room, comfort, power. Ah....

Beetles are cute, but they just can't replace a Studebaker.

And unless that's a new (faux) Beetle, the mileage of an overdrive equipped Stude is comperable.
