View Full Version : Updated 10 day weather outlook - meet week- and gas prices

This is what you all have been waiting for......the projected
weather outlook for the entire week, in Glendale/Phoenix,
during the meet! Remember it is a dry heat......However, if
you happen to see "Ahab the Arab, the sheik of the burning
sands" along with his trusty camel "Fatima" encamped outside
in the hotel's public areas, at an oasis.....you know you have
been outdoors too long!

The price of gas, as noted in this mornings AZ Republic (Phoenix)
is as low as $2.55 to $2.74 a gallon of unleaded. With the price
having fallen another 2 cents since monday. A reversal of the
normal trends prior to the holiday!

Everybody stay safe out there!

Be sure to find a QuikTrip when your coming into Phoenix and it's suburbs,

Having worked for this family (privately owned) company of 52 years with over 500 stores I think you'd be hard pressed to find a cleaner, intelligent, customer oriented operation out there.
There are 2 locations South of the Host hotel if you need a local fill up.

Tip: fresh donuts made by QT start to be delivered around 8:00pm : )

There are 9 within 10 miles in the area according to Google. North to Peoria AZ on 9020 91st is closest to meet hotel, and there is one at 6702 W Glendale Ave due east but at 2.4 or 3.1 miles @ 100 degree heat, not even the closest is within walking distance.

I generally fuel up at QT whenever possible as most of the time they seem to have the lowest prices and market premium quality fuel.

Kevin- You have the meet circled in the wrong place. Move it to the left on your map.

I'll be happy to leave the unusually cold and wet Northern California weather, and especially look forward to using the new a/c in my 63 Avanti down there! And cheap gas to boot!! Thanks for the update Denny
