Speaking of prices

Sal was on the way to look at this car while picking up another in the LA area. He got a call on the way down that a guy in Texas had wired the money to his bank and we missed it by two hours. I'm a gambler, but did not intend to wire money without making sure the car exsisted first.

I don't think it was a scam, the car had been advertized for 9K which was a fair retail. I fugured since Sal was on the way down to LA anyway, he could drop off a check, but the Texas buyer beat us to it. A Studebaker NG'er bought the car, no idea what he's doing with it yet.
While Sal was on the way back from LA, I called him about a $1500 51 Starlight coupe, but it was gone by the time he got home too.
