        Hey Dan...

Ment to post this for some time....

The overall look and stance of your car..."bitchen"...to coin a word.

I was an "honorary" member of the sports car club in college. A 56 Chevy wasn't a sports car! They had to make the slalom courses big enough for my 56 to slide around in. Some of the others didn't like that, cause it was then too big for the little cars (Bug Eyed Sprites!), they could just make a Sunday drive out of it !!

My Lark wagon...I'm hopen it'll go around corners fairly well. When it's done, I want to hit a coupla open weekends going around the pylons.

        Mike

            Mike,
Thanks for the compliment. It's really hard to tell how something is gona' turn out until you can see it "in action". As someone said..."A picture is worth a thousand words" I'm kinda' proud of it. OBTW, many thanks go out to Dick Steinkamp for helping me get this picture posted in my sig. block. Been wanting to do it for a LONG time, I'm not a computer person at all. Again thanks to Dick. Mike, when you get your car all sorted out, go on line and look for some of the local SCCA club events in your area. You might be supprized at what you find.
Trust me, you'll have a blast and tons of help. Again, thanks.
            Dan

Speaking of big cars, as I have mentioned before, I am just hoping to
be able to keep up with a 4300 pound Impala SS, like this one :

Oops .. little too much gas ..

                http://www.bryantperformance.com/video/autoX_spin(web).mpg

                Nice run . ...

If I can get my Avanti to go around corners like my Impala, I will be
feeling pretty good. Right now, the handling is laughable. Though the
wider tires helped a lot, its got WAY too much body roll. I like your
dual sway bars Dan, I am thinking of trying the Avanti II kit.

                    Tom,
If you buy that kit, make sure the frame stand-offs are boxed, otherwise they will twist and can collapse[xx(]...Not good! If they come with urethane bushings, great, if not, get some. Bear in mind, all the stiff urethane and Delrin(sp) bushings and insullators will make the car very un road-worthy (highway trips)...Ask me how I know. With low profile tires that worsens the condition and makes a concrete expansion joint feel like a 2X4! That can reak havock on a glass car if you're not carefull. Think long and hard before start and "test drive" each part you beef up...you wouldn't want to "buck-board" a good driver.
