  • 1960 Studebaker Lark Generator Problem

Good morning, fellow Studebaker Owners. I have a 1960 Lark V8 with an electrical problem. I have finally isolated the problem and it happens to be a broken spring on one of the arms that holds the brush in place in the generator. Anyone have an easy fix?

A local starter shop that rebuilds should have parts available. I would also contact your local NAPA. My NAPA guy always seems to come up with what I need no matter how weird it is.

Agree with finding the starter/alternator shop for the fix (i assume you don't have spare old generators laying around to steal from). Most of these shops (at least where I live) are are one man operations & they usually have tons of replacement parts, new & used.
