I have just finished rebuilding the propeller shaft and am ready to put it back in the rolling chassis. I am interested in finding out what grease is recommended for the slip yoke[?][?]

Also the book says to apply grease to the pilot bearing prior to installing the transmission. How much grease and what type[?]

The slip yoke is gonna get the same stuff the U-joints and other chassis lube points get.
As to that pilot bearing - again, chassis lube - just a thin wipe with some on your fingertip. You sure as heck don't wanna have a gob of it there to sling out at RPMs onto the clutch plate faces and cause slippage! It's basically just to aid ease of entry for the nose of the input shaft as you're jostling the tranny into place.;)
