I would like to add hazard lights/flashers with an underdash on/off switch to my 1963 Studebaker Avanti. I have had no luck finding an aftermarket kit or parts to do so from the usual sources. Anyone have any knowledge of how to do so and what parts(please be specific) that I need to do this?
thanks-

SASCO still had NOS Studebaker accessory hazard flasher/switch assemblies as of a year or two ago. I have one in my '55, and another laying around somewhere if I can ever find what I did with the darn thing (don't you hate when that happens?)

I believe Studebaker called them Flar-Stat & they show up on Ebay now & again.I also believe several other makes of the era used the same set-up,just put them in their own boxes.
Try putting a "Wanted" add on Studebaker swap site, you may get a hit

I picked up one from e-bay, a flare-stat I think. The seller “vairparts” said he had several dozen left, but none listed right now. It was an early 1960’s vintage, and NOS, at about $25. bucks. It used a 4 wire hook up, has its own built in flasher, and was an easy hook up at the steering column. I installed on our 57 Provincial.

Thanks all for helping me with the hazard light project. I'm following up on your responses, and expect that at least one should pan out.
